Tragedy begins when the newlyweds were involved in a horrific accident.
Last year the pair of 19-year-olds were met while serving in their respective missions.During that time, the couple swiftly discovered that they had found the one.
In spite of difference in serving areas and being separated by numerous amounts of land, the pair was still able to ‘date’ and talk via FaceTime.
For Austin it didn’t take long to ask her to marry him and the couple promptly prepared a small wedding. It was 4th of August when the pair of missionaries got married at a United States courthouse in Kansas.
On 5th of August But less than 24 hours later, the newlyweds couple was killed in a tragic car accident where the car struck an embankment and crashed into a tree.
It has been reported that the couple lost the control on car, then hit an embankment and then plowed into a tree right outside of Clearwater, Kansas.
Austin was died on the spot but Rebekah was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. She was also died on Monday.
Father of Rebekah’s, John Bouma, had to say about the couple: ‘there was no doubt whatsoever that their love was the real thing.’
Rebekah’s mother, Rachel Bouma, said on her Facebook post,: ‘She is with the Lord that she loved so deeply and so joyfully and she is with her husband of just one day, Austin Wesson, whom she loved with all her heart. We thank God that they are together while grieving their loss very deeply.’
